More often than not, what our eyes gravitate to is what gets us in trouble. We see something we want and we begin to desire it. But the Lord wants us to use wisdom and not allow our feelings to dominate what is healthy for our lives. I have to check my feelings at the door of my heart many times! So today, do as Proverbs 4:23 says: “Above all else, guard your heart, because it determines the course of your life.”

Powerful Questions for Accountability Conversations

One of the most effective tools for a man or woman in sexual recovery & discipleship in general is maintaining accountability relationships. I’ve had several “accountability partners” through the years and our conversations have ranged quite a bit from spiritual health to emotional health to matters of sexual purity and beyond. Looking back, though, a missing component to these accountability relationships were significant, life-changing questions in our conversations.

I’ve found that many men want accountability in their lives, but they they just don’t know what to talk about when sitting down with the other person. Conversations range from the weather to ESPN’s Sports Center to what they had for dinner last night! But not the real issues of life that they agreed upon meeting for!

Fortunately, over the years, I’ve been able to collect some really powerful questions for your accountability conversations — ones that are practical and that you can actually use right now. Feel free to download these for your own use or to share with others who are needing good resources for accountability.
